US 'offers help' to bin Ladens

The fourth son of Osama bin Laden, al-Qaeda's leader, says the United States has offered to assist members of his family being held in Iran.

Washington has "offered to help my brothers out of Iran" and has "no objections to receiving them in the United States," Omar bin Laden told Al-Arabiya, an Arabic-language broadcaster, on Sunday.

Around 20 members of the extended bin Laden family are reportedly being held under de facto house arrest in Tehran.

They include four of Osama bin Laden's sons - Othman, 27, Saad, 30, Mohammed, 25, and Hamza, 19 - as well as a daughter, 24-year-old Fatima, and one of bin Laden's wives, Khairya Saber.

The family members were detained after fleeing from Afghanistan in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 attacks.

Presiden Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad akhirnya buka suara soal pimpinan jaringan Al-Qaidah Usamah bin Ladin yang oleh sejumlah media massa AS disiarkan bersembunyi, bahkan hidup selesa di bawah perlindungan pasukan negara Iran.

Dalam wawancara dengan stesyenn televisyen ABC, Ahmadinejad membantah laporan-laporan media massa yang mengatakan Usamah bin Ladin ada di Iran. "Sebenarnya, Usamah ada di ibukota AS, di Washington," kata Ahmadinejad dalam wawancara itu.

"Sebahagian orang meyakini bahawa dia berada di Washington. Saya fikir ada kemungkinan besar bahawa dia ada di sana," tukasnya.

Ahmadinejad menambahkan bahawa pada masa lalu, AS dan Usamah adalah teman "bisnes". "Anda tahu itu. Mereka bersama-sama menjalin perniagaan minyak. Usamah bin Ladin tidak pernah bekerjasama dengan Iran tapi bekerjasama dengan Tuan Bush (mantan presiden AS George W. Bush).

Iran blames West over mosque attack

Iran has blamed the West and Israel for the twin suicide bombings on a mosque two days ago that killed at least 27 people and left scores wounded.

As funerals for the victims of Thursday's attack got under way, Iranian police also arrested 40 people for "creating disturbances", local media reported on Saturday.

The Jundallah (Soldiers of God) group claimed responsibility for the bombings, which targeted a Shia mosque attended by members of the elite Revolutionary Guards in the predominantly Sunni city of Zahedan in the Sistan-Baluchestan province.

Geneneral Ahmad Reza Radan, Iran's deputy police chief, told the semiofficial Fars agency that police had arrested people who "intended to create insecurity in the city of Zahedan after the bombing".

Other government officials lashed out at foreign powers, blaming them for the deadly bombings.

Kucing2 di Penjara Israel Membantu Tahanan PALESTIN

Beberapa tahanan Palestin yang mendekam di penjara Israel di Negev memelihara dan memberi makan kucing-kucing liar yang masuk ke dalam kompleks penjara, meski para tahanan itu sendiri tidak mendapatkan bekalan makanan yang cukup dari aparat penjara. Kucing-kucing itu ibarat teman bagi para tahanan Palestin dan ternyata hal itu membuat pengelola penjara tidak senang.

Mereka mendakwa kucing-kucing tersebut telah memberikan "bantuan" bagi para tahanan Palestin dengan membawakan makanan atau benda-benda kecil dari satu sel ke sel lain, sehingga aparat penjara memutuskan untuk memberlakukan larangan memelihara kucing dan menghukum kucing-kucing peliharaan tahanan Palestin dengan memasukkan haiwan tak berdosa itu ke dalam sel isolasi selama beberapa hari.

Salaam, selepas mavi marmara diserang Israel yg mana 9 sukarelawan terkorban, berita tentang kapal bantuan Iran yg akan dikirim ke Gaza akhirnya dibatalkan setelah mendapat ancaman keras dari Israel.
Bagaimana pun,Iran bercadang untuk menghantar bantuan2 itu bukan atas nama Iran dan merancang untuk menghantar bantuan itu menggunakan kapal Lubnan.
Perkembangan lanjut masih belum diperolehi.

Kapal bantuan Libya disekat

Salaam.

Akhirnya kapal bantuan kemanusiaan dari Libya terpaksa berlabuh di Mesir setelah pelayaran ke Gaza dihalang tentera laut Israel.
Menurut sumber Israel, rundingan sulit diadakan antara Israel dan Libya dimana seorang ahli perniagaan Austria menjadi orang tengah.
Rundingan diadakan bagi mengelak akan terjadinya pertempuran kelak di lautan.

Isu Gaza - Libya pula hantar bantuan

Sebuah lagi kapal bantuan ke Gaza yang ditaja Libya, bertolak dari Greece dan akan meruskan perjalanan ke Gaza serta cuba menembusi halangan diperairan yang dikawal Israel. Yousseuf Samani, pengarah Gaddafi International Charity and Development Foundation memberitahu destinasi tetap ke Gaza kerana di sanalah bantuan diperlukan.

Kapal Al Amal sepanjang 92 metre itu membawa 2000 tan bantuan kemanusiaan, 12 anak kapal dan 9 penumpang ( 6 warga Libya, 1 Maghribi, 1 Nigeria, 1 Algeria ).

Menteri kabinet Israel, Yossi Peled menegaskan Israel tidak akan benarkan kapal ini sampai ke Gaza.
